Embracing Self Love

A Journey to Meditation

Breaking free from the Cycle of Self doubt

Are you feeling used after a breakup?

Or

May be doubting yourself after a job loss.

Perhaps you are feeling lonely despite being surrounded by family and friends.

Or

The loss of a loved one has shaken you to your core.

We all go through moments that leave us raw and exposed.

These wounds can resurface with just a bit of rejection or stress, causing us to relive the pain.

We try different ways to cope - spending time with loved ones, taking a break or even therapy.

And while these can help, the wounds can still linger, waiting for the next stressful situation to bring everything flooding back.

Finding Freedom from Self-Doubt

But what if we told you that there is a way to break from this cycle?

Every challenge presents a chance to rediscover ourselves, but we often get caught up in blaming others or destiny. I know this from experience. After losing someone I loved, I felt lost, miserable and alone.

Despite of trying therapy, journaling and spending time with friends, it wasn't until I discovered meditation that everything changed.

One Sunday afternoon, I tried meditation for the first time, and I fell in love with myself.

It was like a weight had been lifted and I finally felt alive. What followed was life changing!!!

Meditation isn't about escaping reality; it’s about being honest with us and emptying our minds.

Practicing Anapanasati Meditation

Here is how you can start practicing Ana Pana Sati Meditation

1. Find a quiet, calm space

2. Sit comfortably in Sukhasana ( cross legged) or on a chair

3. Interlock your fingers

4. Cross your legs

5. Play some soothing music in the background

6. Close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths

7. Observe your breath, feel the sensation of the air moving in and out of your body

8. Witness your natural breath

9. When thoughts arise, acknowledge them and gently let them go or cut off the thoughts

10. Return to your breath and experience the stillness and divine power within.

The power of self love

As you practice meditation regularly, you'll start to notice a shift .

Your complaints will start to melt away, your problems are resolving, and you will feel more grounded in your life.

You will start to appreciate the little things, a beautiful sunset, a good cup of coffee or a warm conversation with a friend . And slowly but surely , you will fall in love with yourself and that will manifest as a light, guiding your path forward.

  4. I’ve been following this blog for a while now, and it’s always felt like a gentle friend or even my own soul quietly sitting beside me.

This one felt a little different, more like someone telling me what to do. But the message is still lovely, and I can relate to the writer, I lost someone dear to me a few years ago.

  7. With respect, but this feels too simplistic. Real healing takes time and sometimes much more than sitting quietly. Meditation is great, but not a magic pill.

  10. I appreciate the intention, but the tone was a bit too airy for me. Can we normalize saying I tried meditation and it didn’t fix me? It helps, yes but not always

    1. Thank you for sharing your experience!!! Meditation helps release emotions and find calm. If it feels overwhelming, try nature walks, walking barefoot, or hugging trees. These grounding techniques can help you feel more balanced and at peace. I have been there too - sometimes it takes time. Keep practicing, and you will find your rhythm.
